Our Tuckshop follows the guidelines for healthy eating set out by the Queensland Government Smart Choices program. Tuckshop is conducted daily at both lunch and afternoon tea. Parents are rostered to help on those days and you are invited to join them at those times. Forms, procedure and price lists will be sent home early in Term One. Efforts are made to provide all children with nutritious food at a reasonable cost. Tuckshop operates on a CASH ONLY basis.
Bag Ordering System
The Ingham has a “bag ordering system” in operation for “Big Lunch” and “Afternoon Tea”. State Primary School
Big Lunch is at 10:50am and Afternoon Tea is at 1:30pm.
Big Lunch Orders - 10:50am
Please complete lunch orders as follows:
Firstly at home write name, year and order on envelope:-
eg. John Brown
Year 6
Salad Sandwich $2.20
1 juice $1.80
Total $4.00
Secondly place the envelope inside a brown lunch bag. (The Tuckshop provides lunch bags which are available from the Tuckshop at any time or any brown lunch bag from home will do.)
Ensure that your child’s name and year level are clearly written on the outside of the bag.
Do not fill in the section that reads AMOUNT ENCLOSED.......CHANGE......This section is for Tuckshop use only.
Once orders have been filled out and placed in the brown paper bag, place bag with money inside the big wooden box outside the Tuckshop. Orders are to be placed before first bell each morning at 8:40am.
Please ensure your child’s tuckshop money is as near as possible to the correct amount. Any change will be placed in paper and put back in the brown paper lunch bag. Children should check their bag for change on leaving before placing in the rubbish bin.
Afternoon Tea Orders - 1:30pm
It is necessary to use the bag ordering system to order Afternoon Tea at 1:30pm. Children may also choose freely from the selection of food displayed on the trays. If you do order Afternoon Tea please ensure the bag is marked “Afternoon Tea”. Most children do prefer to order Afternoon Tea. Children who order will be served first.
Tuckshop Bags
Tuckshop bags are available at the Tuckshop for collection by parents or children. Plain brown paper bags are also acceptable. Tuckshop is open Monday to Friday for both Big Lunch 10:50am and Afternoon Tea 1:30pm.
Tuckshop Closures: Tuckshop is closed only three days each year - the first day of school each year and the last two days of school each year. (Usually Thursday and Friday).
